David Hussey is a delectably talented strokemaker from Western Australia. Born 15 July 1977, Morley, Western Australia Hussey was forced to travel to Victoria to achieve the cricketing recognition that his talents deserver. He played for Horsham in 2001 and joined to Prahran cricket Club in Victoria in his attempt to play first class cricket. Seen as one of the finest strikers of the ball since Adam Gilchrist, Hussey scored enough runs to push for a first class debut. After a fine ING Cup innings in 2002-03 Hussey prepared for the 2003-04 season, where he has made almost 1000 runs at 90. But the latest rumours surrounding this talented cricketer is that he will through away potential Australian selection to sign on for the OWCC in 2004-04. Rob Savedra is rumoured to be in negotiations for an additional groundskeeping role. |
